Mr. Ajit Chavan visited SSM
The Director of the ‘Tarpan’ organization, Mr. Ajit Chavan, emphasized the crucial role of worker activism in the success of the organization. He cited the inspiring example of Babasaheb, who made a significant impact on the lives of many by establishing an institution for girls’ education, a symbol of unparalleled service. Mr. Chavan noted that this legacy of service continues to thrive, even into the third generation, a testament to its enduring impact.
The organization, situated in a village on the border of Marathwada, has achieved success in various fields such as education, agriculture, skill development, and environmental initiatives. This success is attributed to the charitable attitude and dedicated efforts of all the workers involved.
During his two-day visit to the institution, Mr. Chavan toured different departments and learned about their activities. He emphasized the importance of activists within the organization, highlighting how their pursuit of knowledge in rural areas enriches the students. Teachers who understand the intellectual needs of students and utilize technology to implement various activities serve as role models for the students.
Mr. Chavan drew from his own school life to illustrate the significance of this service-oriented approach. Senior workers in the organization, like Devidas Deshmukh, expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the dedication and spirit of service displayed by all the workers, even in adverse circumstances.
