A Legacy of Service Celebrated: Grand Centenary Finale of Karmyogi Babasaheb Deshmukh

With divine blessings of Gnyanraj Manikprabhu Maharaj, the centenary year of Karmyogi Babasaheb Deshmukh culminated in a grand and inspiring closing ceremony on March 22, 2026, at Shardanagar Campus, Sagroli.

In his address, the revered Guru highlighted Babasaheb’s extraordinary vision—choosing a life of service over comfort, and dedicating himself to transforming rural society through education. He emphasized that Babasaheb not only responded to the needs of his time but built institutions that would remain relevant for generations. Such timeless contribution truly justifies the title “Karmyogi.”

The centenary journey, which began on March 28, 2025, with the sacred Gyanjyot Yatra from Babasaheb’s birthplace, Palam, concluded on a powerful and emotional note. A defining moment of the prog was the unveiling of Babasaheb’s full-size statue by the holy hands of Maharaj, symbolizing inspiration for generations to come.

The event witnessed vibrant participation from students and stakeholders. A heartfelt theatrical performance by primary school students beautifully portrayed Babasaheb’s life and mission. Rohit Deshmukh, in his introductory address, reflected on the enduring social impact of Babasaheb’s work. The commemorative publication Karmyogi was also released on this occasion.

In his presidential blessings, Maharaj appreciated the unwavering commitment of the institution’s team and acknowledged that Babasaheb’s values continue to guide the present generation toward meaningful, community-driven progress.

The ceremony saw the presence of alumni, former staff, and villagers from Sagroli and nearby areas, all coming together to pay tribute to a visionary whose legacy continues to illuminate countless lives.
