In September 2025, relentless cloudburst-like rains tore through parts of Nanded district, leaving villages like Ravanagaon and Hasanal in ruins. Homes were washed away, livelihoods disrupted, and countless families were forced to flee overnight—carrying little more than uncertainty and loss.
But from this devastation rises a powerful story of resilience and renewal.
Guided by the vision of “A Home for Every Family”, Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal, Sagroli, in partnership with the Government of Maharashtra, Caring Friends (Mumbai), Sau Haath, and Mashaal, has launched the “Swadhar Housing Project”—an initiative that goes far beyond construction. It is about rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, and reigniting hope.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on April 23, 2026, at rehabilitated Khanapur (Taluka Degloor, District Nanded), marked the beginning of this transformative journey. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from community members and dignitaries alike. Hon. Mr. Rahul Kardile (IAS), District Collector of Nanded, joined virtually, applauding the initiative and extending his support.
A standout moment of the ceremony was the live demonstration by the Sau Haath team, showcasing how bricks can be produced locally—symbolizing self-reliance, sustainability, and empowerment at the grassroots level.
The ceremony was conducted by the Sarpanchs of Ravanagaon and Hasanal, in the presence of Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Anup Patil, the Tehsildar, Chairman Mr. Pramod Deshmukh, Secretary Dr. Jayant Jakate, Mr. Nimesh Shah from Caring Friends, representatives from Mashaal, and a large gathering of rehabilitated families.
The Swadhar Housing Project is more than a reconstruction effort—it is a promise. A promise to transform loss into strength, to replace uncertainty with security, and to rebuild not just houses, but futures.
✨ Because every family deserves not just a house, but a place to belong.
