Nadi Ki Pathshala for Manyad River’s revival
In a significant endeavour to preserve the ecological heritage, Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM), in collaboration with the Maharashtra Government, Jalbiradari, and Naam Foundation, organised a four-day workshop titled ‘Nadi Ki Pathshala’ in Sagaroli (T.Biloli). The initiative received a powerful endorsement from MLA Jitesh Antapurkar, who pledged his commitment not just as a legislator but as an activist for Manyad River’s revival.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities, including Siddhadayal Shivling Shivacharya Maharaj, Vinay Bodhi Bhante, Jayant Kulkarni (Executive Director of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini), geologist Dr. Srinivas Vaddbalkar, and environmental expert Dr. Ajit Gokhale. Pramod Deshmukh hailed as a modern-day Bhagirath, kickstarted the river cleaning initiative, supported by around 150 concerned citizens from Manyad Tira.
Highlighting the vital role of water in sustaining life, Vinay Bodhi Bhante emphasised that Manyad River’s cleanliness could set a significant example for India. The workshop served as a crucial platform for community engagement, education, and hands-on environmental conservation efforts, furthering SSM’s commitment to nurturing a harmonious relationship between nature and society.
