Join Hands to Build Karmyogi Babasaheb’s Living Legacy

Dear Supporters,

Warm greetings.

There are some lives that do not merely pass through the world—they shape it. Karmayogi Babasaheb Deshmukh was one such soul. He could have lived a life of comfort, surrounded by wealth, land and status. Instead, he walked away from all of it—his jagirdari, the ancestral wada, and every convenience—to stand beside the poorest child, the most helpless family, the forgotten corners of our society.

For sixty long years, Babasaheb lived not for himself, but for others. His footsteps reached every village, his words gave courage to countless families, and his work opened the doors of education to thousands who otherwise had no chance. Even as age and illness pressed upon him, his resolve never wavered. He kept moving, kept giving, kept serving—until his last breath.

What did he keep for himself?
Just a small room. Two simple shirts. Two dhotis. A diary. A pen.
And an ocean of love for humanity.

Today, 21 years after he left us, his presence is still felt in every educated child of Sagroli, every family lifted from hopelessness, every life changed forever. His legacy lives in thousands of hearts.

As we celebrate his Birth Centenary Year, it is our sacred wish to create something that will keep his memory alive for the generations to come—a full-figure statue of Babasaheb at Shardanagar, Sagroli. Not just a statue, but a reminder…
…of sacrifice,
…of service,
…of compassion,
…of what one person can do when they decide to dedicate their life to others.

This monument must rise from the hands and hearts of the people Babasaheb loved so deeply. Not from a few donors, but from every family, every well-wisher, every person who believes in education, humanity and selfless work.

On 22nd March, the statue will be unveiled.
Let us make it a day that reflects our gratitude, our love, and our shared pride.

We humbly request you—
Let Babasaheb’s memory live through your contribution.
Let future generations know that we, too, honoured the man who lived entirely for others.

Your support is not just a donation.
It is a tribute.
It is a thank you.
It is a promise that his ideals will live on.

With heartfelt regards,
Karmayogi Babasaheb Deshmukh Birth Centenary Local Fundraising Committee, Sagroli
