Inaugural Nanded District Marathi Literary Conference
Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM) proudly orchestrated the first-ever Nanded District Marathi Literary Conference, which celebrated the richness of the Marathi language rooted in rural traditions. Renowned scholar Ulhas Dada Pawar, an expert in saint literature and former MLA, emphasised the need to preserve Marathi’s essence amidst progress, urging against its casual neglect. The event, inaugurated on September 10, witnessed inspiring discussions.
Dasu Vaidya, esteemed poet and lyricist, highlighted the significant contributions of Nanded district writers to Marathi literature, expressing pride in the rural Marathi heritage. He commended SSM, a rural institution, for taking the initiative to host this groundbreaking literary conference.
Pramod Deshmukh, Chairman of SSM, emphasised the cultural value of diverse ideologies coming together, echoing the Sanskrit Subhashitani’s wisdom. The event featured engaging sessions, including seminars, storytelling, and poetry meetings, captivating the audience. A grand opening began a vibrant literary journey, underscoring SSM’s commitment to preserving and promoting Marathi culture.
