In a historic feat, four footballers from Eklavya Sports Academy, Sagroli, have made their mark by qualifying for the national competition selection test. This noteworthy accomplishment marks the first time that four students from the same academy have been chosen to participate in the State School Sports Tournament for 2022-23.
The success of these players is a testament to their dedicated training, consistent performance, and expert coaching received at the academy. Their unwavering commitment, coupled with focused technical practice and regular participation in various competitions, caught the attention of the State Sports Department. As a result, they were selected for the upcoming regional qualifying test in Kolhapur after showcasing outstanding performance in the Nanded selection test held on 27th May.
This achievement reflects the relentless efforts and support the entire Eklavya Sports Academy team provides in nurturing talented athletes from rural areas. The academy, overseen by the Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM), has provided equal opportunities for aspiring athletes to excel nationally.
