Empowering Women Through Millet Processing

From August 7th to 9th, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra Department of Agriculture Sangola, Umed Abhiyaan, and Kasalganga Foundation Mahood (BU) in District Solapur, conducted a comprehensive training program at the Udyamita Skill Development Centre.

A total of 30 women from Solapur district participated in this enlightening training session. During the program, the women gained hands-on experience in processing various millets, including Jowari, Bajri, Nachani, Rajgira, and Bhagar, transforming them into Shevai, Chakali, Shankarpale, Lahya, Ladoo, Cake, Biscuit, Thalipeeth, Daliya, and Bhajani.

The organisation’s experts provided valuable insights into marketing, packaging, branding, project presentation, time management, and capital handling. Additionally, through online interactions on Google Meet, esteemed personalities such as Dr. Rajendra Singh, Dr. Sumant Pandey, actor Chinmoy Udgirkar, and Pramodji Deshmukh extended their guidance and best wishes to the aspiring women, setting them on a path to a brighter future.
