WHY SSM?
The ground reality of rural life in five districts of the Marathwada region of Maharashtra has been extremely alarming. Most of the inhabitants in the region fall below the poverty line and lead a drastically pathetic standard of living as compared to their counterparts residing elsewhere in the state. They encounter many challenges relating to health and basic commodities such as food and shelter. Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal consistently intervenes to improve the living standards of numerous families by promoting sources and livelihood to ensure access to basic commodities and proper healthcare and equality for all individuals.
The need to prioritize rural transformation comes from many factors. To begin with, there is a perception people have that moving to urban areas will inevitably improve their standard of living. Thus, many rural areas get abandoned. In these abandoned areas, many agricultural lands will lose their full purpose while unemployment in urban areas will continue to increase.
