Support talented rural athletes

In our pursuit of overall development of Rural children, we incepted Sagroli Sunrise project in the year 2004. Sagroli Sunrise is a carefully designed sports project with an objective to produce National and International level athletes by harnessing the strength and commitment of rural youth in sports as we believe that rural youth can bring laurels to the nation in sports if they receive the support to do so. Over the years we have developed this into an academy. In this time, we have shaped stars like Chitgire Rameshwar, Jayashree Borge, Deepak Kumbhar, Aarti Bharti, Dnyaneshwar Kondlade, and Vishnu Lavhale etc.

Currently this program supports 45 Athletes, their accommodation, food, nutrition and other peripherals are taken care of by SSM. The athletes do pay some fees but it is very little amount which they can afford. Your support could help them break free of the financial burden and shape into the stars of tomorrow!

Sponsor Girl Child Education

We provide a homely shelter to 50 rural girl children who are either orphaned, single-parented or hail from financially poor families, pandemic effected etc. through Anand Balgram (A children’s village established in 1974), taking care of their quality education and habitation.

Most of these students hail from either agri-labour or marginal farmer families. Their Parents/ Guardians cannot afford to continue education of their children. We have good infrastructure and human resources, kitchen, safe drinking water facility, dining hall along with a toilet complex and a recreation centre. Every care is taken towards the safety of the child. The children are here up to their 12th Std, whereas for further education we try at our level best to settle them in life.

Support rural youth in tackling unemployment

Unemployment and under-employment have been a long-standing problem in our economy, especially in rural regions. Majority of whom are working as unskilled labour and are prone to harsh working conditions and low-income generation. This is primarily due to lack of Skill in any particular area. With an aim to tackle this issue we established Utkarsh Vocational Training Centre in 2009. We provide skill development courses in both Farm and Non-Farm sectors. With our interventions we have been able to upskill 6000+ rural youth and women till date and helped them find better livelihood opportunities.

We conduct a fee-based residential skill program in plumbing with 4 batches per annum (varies based on need), each batch consisting of 20 students. 1 batch runs for 60 days, out of which 45 days they are trained at our campus and last 15 days they get to work onsite for practical experience. Post this we help them get placed with different corporations or help them self-employ. We have a state-of-the-art plumbing instruction classroom established with support of Bluestar India.

Majority of these students have financially poor conditions and hence cannot afford the costs of training and hesitate to take up the course. Your support could help them in overcoming their financial condition and self-sustain.

  2. Support Mess & Accommodation expenses of one student – Rs. 5000
  3. Sponsor training of one student for plumbing – Rs. 3000
