With an objective of making school children aware of the importance of natural resources and the significance of trees in providing a healthy environment to mankind the children are involved in afforestation program. Each child from SSM schools is given responsibility of planting and nourishing a plant every year. Thus over the past 20 years 6 lakh trees have been planted and nourished on and around the campus. The program has not only helped afforestation, but also attracted a number of species animals and birds making the area their habitat. This is a vital impact on restoration of eco system.
